Selling this house has been a big pain in the butt...

I share your assessment of house selling. I once posted a few of my husband's attempts to inject a bit of fun into this otherwise unpleasant experience in #reply-18053391

Cheers, PW.

Selling your house. I live outside of town where all the lots are 5 acres. You can have horses and pole barn buildings for horses or storing a boat... Yards big enough to practice your short golf game. OTOH it's only 5 to 8 minutes to get to 4 of the 5 State Farm Headquarters in town. That's 20,000 jobs.

Up until the bubble burst you could put any price on any house in the area. Some went for twice what they were appraised at. State Farm was hiring 1,000 new workers a year then. Now State Farm is shedding 1,000 workers a year and there are 4 homes that have been for sale at cut rates for 8 months and no lookers. Location, Timing, Timing.
