I see you folks are very comfortable with the "US Agression"

For Germany and for me personally the current situation is a major dilemma. I am against the war but I am strongly in favor of trans-Atlantic ties. If I must decide I choose the latter. Schröder tries to play the peace violin but he is wrong. As a substitute for a soapbox I present my first bet on the thread: Schröder won't survive the election period as a chancellor. (The next regular elections are scheduled for September 2006.)

You are, of course, entitled to compare the start of WWII with the present situation. I don't accept that comparison.
The comparison fails because of the existence of NATO, the UN, the fact that Saddam has been contained for 12 years, and many more differences.

As an American I also accept that you can resent what ever you want to resent. Resentment is, in my opinion, counter-productive.
