And a little more research shows that Doc Mahdi is a tool of the RW war criminals in DC: I think you'll find Saddam will be the one doing the hard~time before long ... we could turn him over to the Iranians for one...then his "time" would be very short .

As valid as anything else one might post, they're hardly cause for "incineration" of any argument, and at best are fodder for mediocre disputation. This is a rehashing of the above. I found brumar's reply to you quite fair here Message 18533665 Actually I think Iraq remained on very good terms with the USSR and continues to have good relations with Russia. After the Iranian revolutionary regime showed its ability to expel the Iraqi army from its territory and take the fight back to Iraq, the US and the other Arab countries of the region became concerned Iran would conquer Iraq and continue its advance into other countries. Thus the US tilted to Iraq to prevent this. The major thing we gave to Iraq that helped it prevent an Iranian victory was intelligence information. Most of their arms continued to be provided by the USSR and France. The US's number one goal in the region has been to preserve orderly commerce and protect the weak Arab countries of the Gulf - Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, and Oman you have incinerated nothing , but your fuse grows shorter by the day. watch it kid , we might have to draft you and teach you some discipline ! hehe
