I read recently where one of the Slovak states had elections but there wasnt enough participation to call the winner the winner and the loser the loser.

That is an electoral improvement which prevents hegemony. If the parties can not generate the momentum to attract voters despite all the election publicity of a campaign, than those making the noise obviously have not connected with the electorate. The results than should be sent back to the potential voters and be forced to try again.

When I read this I said hmmmm fits nicely with what I see as an emerging trend.

<< ... and in Croatia they are trying to set up a democratic government fashioned exactly after America - it is their 'ideal' >>

Imitation is the greatest form of flattery.

It is not rocket science to look at, how well America's system has worked, as compared to the rest of the world.

I am very grateful to be an American. It is the greatest gift I have ever received, next to life itself. How can someone not fall in love with America, after they look at all of the good that America has done around the world, and what America has achieved in the name of diversity and freedom.

Muslims do not believe in diversity and freedom. As such, Islam is incompatible with American values. If we allow a large Muslim population here, sooner or later, it is going to lead to internal conflict, as it has in so many other nations.
