NATO has become an "ala carte" alliance. With each conflict, each member decides to that extent they want to participate. That's not the way it was supposed to be.

I think we shouldn't be attacking Iraq now, but I also think the French/German stance is deeply cynical. They are positioning themselves to be the "nice guys" of the Christian World, with the U.S. and England bearing the entire cost (military and political) of the War.
