<they want to establish Muslim rule world wide>

Straw-man argument.

There may be a tiny minority of megalomaniacs who aspire to that. For that matter, there are a few Christians who say they want to make the entire planet Christian. The rest of the world's major religions don't believe in Jihad or Crusades.

But widespread popular Muslim support for Bin Laden's program will dissolve, if most Muslims stop feeling under siege, in countries that currently have Muslim-majority populations. They (and I mean the masses, not the zealots), will be satisfied with that. The only exception is Israel, and IMO there is an obvious compromise there, in the Taba almost-agreement. Once we have separated the masses from the zealots, we can hunt down the zealots. But not till then.
