Don't be disappointed about the loss of Einstein and the rest - they are still productive over in the USA. So are the brains of China, New Zealand, India etc. The USA must have the best brains in the over 140 IQ range. At least they get to invent CDMA, cyberspace, Rituxan and a lot more besides. Back home, their opportunities are limited. <East Germany continues to have major economic problems, beyond 20% unemployment. > So in the west, it must be only about 8%, which isn't all that much worse than the USA. The USA total kilograms of brains with IQ over 140 must be rising quickly. Those are the brains which come up with the really good stuff. Having hordes of people in the bottom of the Bell curve doesn't really matter as long as those at the top of the Bell curve can do their thing unimpeded. The top carry along the bottom, so the poorest morons in the USA are wayyyyy better off than the smartest hard workers in India. It would be nice if they [the morons]didn't think they are superior to the rest of the world though. I think that's what grates on the European intelligentsia - they think George II is a cliche and slogan quoting dumbo and hate being sniggered at and pushed around by a dumbo. George II of course has the good sense to hire plenty of people with turbo-powered brains to do the thinking for him. He can afford them. They liked Clinton, the brain, the urbane, much more. He also pulled the chicks, which is a high-rating quality in France and Germany. They'll have Bill back in 2004 [via Hillary as President]. That'll also get the stock market back on track. "It's the economy, stupid!" will hang like a ghost over the victory in Iraq and King George II's re-election. Mqurice
