WRT the Palestinians - they are being held in camps in a similar way that the Jews were in WWII. While I think they've (the Palestinians) created some of their own mess its hard to believe that a nation like Israel (who has made a living from using the holocaust as justification for everything from demanding money, land and weapons to treating people like shit) would do almost the same thing as was done to them in WWII. The Israelis are no stand-up nation dood - but I don't even want to go down that road. I agree that we must be smarter and I think we should embark on that road just as soon as we accomplished the needed population reduction that has our world tilting on its axis <g>
