Disagree re: Rummy. I don’t think the man says anything that doesn’t fit the design. He needed to piss off and discombobulate the Euros. Just think about it – a few weeks ago the US was supposedly “all alone” – and today, if anything, it is France and Germany who are more like the odd man out. I think this was rather incredible diplomatic footwork by the Administration. You may agree with their goals or you may not, but they did pull off something very impressive.

you realize that when the next mania phase rolls 'round guys our age - guys going through their first bear - and surviving - are going to be that era's version of the dotty old "fools" they poke fun at on CNBS for not digging the new paradiggem.
