I think much of Rumsfeld's, Ashcroft's, and Bush's tone has indeed contributed to the increasingly negative tone on the part of much of the world about our plans for Iraq.

How's that for an answer?

I don't consider it jingoism to point out why Iraq needs to be dealt with harshly.

I agree that many of the posts on SI, and at times here, are not reasoned. I would apply that description to many of the arguers on both sides. One of the reasons why I started posting speeches and UN documents in their entirety is to avoid that. In my experience, you can say whatever you want, but when there are facts and opinions set down on paper you have to deal with them more rationally, or if you don't, it will be obvious.
