I agree with you on a number of fronts. The bear...or at least a lack of a real bull, will go on for years. And that American innovation will be key to getting us out of a prolonged Japan-like period.

I think that we may end up meeting the Asian challenge with closer ties to our neighbors to the south. We have an opportunity to help develop economies much closer to home and in a mutually beneficial manner.

I can tell you that in my many trips to asia, I never once had a good Mexican/South American meal. Maybe some Cuban would be good too.

Just don't use much cheese, since most of Chinese do not like cheese much<g>
