People like you and I who read damn near everything out there on FA get discouraged by the Media. They are pumping the hell out of the Anti-war story because it makes good copy. The only connection of what is going on now and the 60's Vietnam protests are in the minds of the Media and the Hard left pushing it, IMO. Look at the story out in the Village Voice today about the proposed NYC march this Saturday. The warfare going on in the protest movement is bigger than the movement to protest! They don't want the "Commy" label on them, but "Answer" is still running the show. This war will be over before these people know what hit them.

The Paleoconservatives and the Libertarians who go with "Cato" are really a very small crowd. No way any combo of this bunch and the hard left is ever going to take over.

In America there is I believe true access to all points of view. In particular the internet provides so many with information that often directly examines rhetoric in context with facts.

I often go vote.com. Who votes at vote.com. Well the one thing I do know is that it is exclusively those with access to the internet. I don't vote as I browse with java script disabled and I'm only interested in what questions are being asked and how are internet folks voting. I call internet folks the most informed.

Why do 30 40 50 100 thousand at vote.com vote on issues that are 80 20 rations where those in Europe are voting 90 10 the other way.

Is there talk radio in Europe????

Well is there internet in Europe??? HOW MUCH...????

IN 2001, America had 263 servers per thousand people. In Europe there are 16 servers per thousand.

I simply donot care what ignorant people think. I don't expect these ignorant people to go on a jihard.

And as for the Internet explosion, I expect the haves to have even more than the have nots. BY the havenot's own choices.

They're a very minor minority, Michael. If the Buchanan bunch were so numerous, they wouldn't have to hijack Perot's party to get a platform. In the eventuality of another major attack on the US, their voices would be drowned out by the "silent majority" of Americans whose overwhelming response would be "kill em all."
