Hawk, i agree 100%. They may dance together but not real close. Same with iran, syria, and saudi arabia--All hate saddam but hate the thought of US domination more. What puzzles me is how and why Powell fell into a trap by trying to make the statement a love fest. By doing so he gives the left a way to impute last weeks excellent presentation. mike

That displays an association between Bin Laden and Saddam, if only "the enemy of my enemy is my friend".. We had such links ourselves with both OBL and Saddam. Are you implying that we invade ourselves?

And is it reasonable for Iraq in offensive defense to use terrorists armed with WMD's supplied to attack America. And excellent post that touches on this idea of offense and defense. #reply-18571160 I do wonder why some post stuff where the sun don't shine... :-) Terrorists need logistics. Iraq can provide advanced tech and support. I say make IRAQ the place to base all US NATO forces. Keep them all seething and they are easier to pick out.
