the parallel i see is between Saddam's invasion of Kuwait in 1990, and Bush's invasion of Irak in 2003...
there's no difference whatsoever.
actually, what we call today 'Irak' and 'Kuwait' were both part of the Ottoman Empire, so Saddam is not so much to blame for trying to reunite former unified territories.
