1) No one said that resolution 1441 is a unilateral action by the US.

And the US isn't saying it will take unilateral action if the UN does its job. ie. enforce 1441

2)France, Germany, and Belgium have not refused to take the defense of a member nation into account. You have no proof for that statement.

They have BLOCKED votes to prepare for the defense of Turkey TWICE. No proof?

3) You are correct when you state that the UN can not enforce its own resolutions. Witness the result of the resolutions about Israel(36 years).

Keep your Israel-baiting to yourself, thank you.

4) All the European nations have a condition to their support and that is that the UN is behind any action taken against Iraq. Britain has wavered back and forth on that point as today's debate in the English parliament shows.

And the UN would be behind action taken against Iraq, as stipulated in 1441, IF France, Germany and Russia were not blocking action out of cynical and destructive motives. France and Germany have publicly stated that they would veto ANY resolution aimed at bringing Iraq into compliance by force. THAT is for all intents and purposes, totally defying the letter and spirit of 1441. LAST CHANCE means LAST CHANCE.

5)Lucky for the rest of world it is not you who has the final say as to the interpretation of 1441.

Lucky for all of us that the United States will do what is needed, in spite of France and Germany.

6)We are talking about non-compliance. And the non-compliance by Israel goes on and on and is not the subject of debate.

Again, keep your Israel baiting to yourself. Is there some sort of handbook out there, "when you have nothing substantive to say, bring up Israel"?
