The real interesting thing is this

Bush knows if this doesn't go well it will cost him his political future. When you think about it in those terms its hard to imagine he isn't doing something that he REALLY believes is needed for the long term safety of our country. I rather like leadership that places its nut on the line to do what they believe is the right thing rather than relying on popularity polls. Now could he be wrong? Sure. But if he's right he'll be remembered in a similar way as Teddy Roosevelt.

Funny thing. I've been saying the exact same thing about the Clinton presidency.
