<<its an opinion that is shared by many of my Canadian friends that have emailed me over the last few weeks telling me how frightened they are of Bush>>

Well....they didn't have that same fear with Clinton did they? And look what happened - We got outsmarted by N Korea, our UN inspectors were kicked out of Iraq and he bombed an aspirin factory to divert attention away from his own conduct. So I ask....were we safer or was that just perception that helped him short term but left the current mess to clean up?

Tough questions IMO

Sure you are out of line...

Read my posts again... I do not have a problem with a criticism of Bush and/ or the actions of the US government, the only part I have a problem with is your comparison to Hitler's Germany in WW II the other are valid questions, I have put some of my own...

Still... that does not make Bush (or the USA) Hitler's Germany.

As for certain losses of freedom previously enjoyed... while it is true, I am willing to put up with that before I am wiling to accept the US becoming another Beirut.

Understand that I am not willing to sit idle while these bastards destroy US property and innocent lives here in the US just because they are a bunch of religious maniacs and terrorists...

The reason I differ is NOT in the fundamental idea of exterminating these cockroaches... it is the METHOD in which they are going about it that bothers me...

Bush is a happy trigger cowboy... I would rather see some one more quiet and effective in getting the terrorists... and certainly, I would rather see some other policies that would be substantially different than what it has been so9 far... what policies ? well... for one, not assisting medieval monarchs stay in power (as in the ME), or assisting ruthless dictators and tyrants (such as Hussein himself and others in South America)...

and a more in line with Israel in the issue of terrorists... had we done so a long time ago... we would not be having this discussion.
