No. The remarks are available in translation as well, but you seemed to pay more attention to what he said in English. If you have heard Arafat in Arabic, you have heard the discrepancy between his talk about condemning bombings and "peace of the brave" in English, and "a million martyrs will march to Jerusalem", and "jihad, jihad, jihad" in Arabic. What do you think the latter remarks meant?

A place I go to for takeout cappocino is also frequented by Arab/Muslim (these guys were originally from egypt) taxi drivers and so yesterday morning I asked a bunch of them what they they thought Arafat means when he says "a million martyrs will march to Jerusalem" and when he says "jihad, jihad, jihad." They (five) took Arafat's meaning as a call to die in war and figured he was promoting the business of suicide bombing. They all agreed the meaning of Jihad is nuanced, but they took Arafat's message as an endorsement of suicide bombing.
