Using resolution 1441 as an excuse to start a war, despite clear UN desires for further inspections, while simultaneously claiming to be supporting the UN is a travesty of logic.

Respectfully disagree. 1441 lays out the terms of material breach. Iraq is now in material breach. All thats needed is UNSC to say "yes its material breach". If/when thats done, 1441 says serious consequences will follow. In my mind, "serious consequences = military action".

Really Carl. If the whole world declared that despite the obvious, the moon was indeed made of blue cheese, and should be referred to as such, should we really go along with such an absurdity? It doesn't matter what the UN "desires" if what is "desired" is not reasonable. The UNSC passed 1441, and now with France in the lead, the UNSC is trying to weasel out and continue with this farcical play that has been staged the past decade. Enough for crying out loud. ENOUGH.
