<If such a resolution passed, the US would have an excuse for war>

No, if a resolution on material breach is passed, UN says its time for serious consequences as laid out in 1441.

>>most of the members of the UNSC want more inspections<<

For what purpose?

Does Iraq have WMD or not?

If not, why have inspections? End the sanctions now.

If yes, why haven't they cooperated in producing them? Cut the crap, they're in material breach.
