JW-CB re: Pimco turns to commodities - "as you expected" ?

I was being tongue in cheek about the "Joe versus the Volcano" twist... but, no tongue in cheek here my friend:

Gross exaggeration & misinformation need pointed out.

1st ie: "just as you expected" ?

This isn't Bill Gross dumping Bonds and buying Gold numb-nuts; this is an EXISTING - rather inconsequential, microscopic $65 Million fund within the Pimco fund of funds - (Gross's farts are valued at more than $65m per...by the way)that is up a whopping 14% since last year ?!?!

First your Manhattan Bath House/Jacuzzi Bubble Party Scoop on JPM's immenient collapse & coming Gold Derivatives Collapse 8 months ago...and now this ?

And then there's the Micro-Cap Tout on 321 Gold ?

JW-CB; you're trying much, much, much too hard here...

BOOOOOO000000ooooooo Ya right back to'ya~

I deeply admired Powell.
Two months ago I would have voted for him for president!
How things changed.
It is upsetting to see someone like that go down the slippery slope of deception. Recently, senator Byrd, Kennedy, and republican rep Paul from Texas have all attacked our president's integrity. Senator Byrd put forth a totally damming speach in front of the whole senate. I am not the only one to call president Bush a liar. He was openly called that by a senator of the US on the floor of the senate.

I fully understand how evil Hussein is, but all of a sudden the US has gone from innocent until proven guilty to guilty until innocent when it comes to the issue of WMDs. I see the war powers act stripping away our rights. I see the pentagon asking for the right to wiretap emails of US citizens, I see proposals floating around that will strip citizenship away from those BELIEVED to be supportive of terrorists but not proven, I see thousands of suspected terrorists incarcerated right now with no access at all to legal representation, I see the pentagon asking for more rights to detain people without even reporting it, I see a president openly calling a leader of a sovergn nation a pygmy, I see casual use of nuclear war being openly discussed, I see an arrogant Us that thinks it knows what is best for the entire world, I see a US that is willing to bribe countries to get what it wants, I see a US that has gone from acting to squash agression to one of openly acting as the aggressor, I see a nation at odds with the entire rest of the world and not caring one bit, I see the president of the United states promising a smoking gun and not delivering, I see a president that does not care what 3/4ths of his own nation thinks, I see a president afraid to back down now for fear of losing face, I see the very likely probability that an attack against Iraq will increase terrorism not reduce it, I see a president so tied down with a two bit threat that he has forgotten all about Al Qaeda our bigger enemy, I see an economy that can not afford the cost of this war, I see a very cloudy endgame that could keep hundreds of thousands of troops tied down in Iraq for years, I see deceit and lies about the strength of our economy and its ability to pay for this war, I see deceit and plagarism being submitted as grounds for war, I see Greenspan arguing with the president about the costs of this war and proposing tax cuts at the same time, I see congress possibly attempting to circumvent the constitution by allowing Bush to declare war rather than Congress to declare war, and lastly I see a mentality that wants to give war every chance but peace no chance!

The entire mentality of many of the posters here seems to be that peace is not an option (unless Hussein voluntarily leaves which just is not that likely). I am extremely frustrated by the willingness of people to prefer war over peace. This is not WWII where we were attacked. This is not in response to the WTC as Hussein had nothing to do with it. And try as anyone may, Hussein just is not Hitler and our own CIA admits that Hussein did not gass the Kurds but rather the type of gass that killed the Kurds was from Iran not Iraq. Finally Hussein has not attacked another country for over 10 years and is extremely unlikely to do so now with inspectors all over the place and U2 surveliance approved. I repeat my claim that people want to give war every chance but peace no chance!

I do find the stripping away of our bill of rights frightening and I do find the casual use of nuclear war frightening as well. In fact, please read the previous two paragraphs. I think there are many things frightening in there. I can support nearly every "I see" in that entire paragraph with hard links.

Our nation could very well be at crossroads in history. How we proceed here can possibly have massive unintended cosequences down the road. Many here do not seem to be the least bit concerned. They only want Hussein taken out because he is evil. Well I want Hussein taken out as well. But I do not want to lose our Bill of Rights or start a nuclear war in the process.
