While I don't believe that all of the Arab/Muslim nations there would like to destroy the U.S. We've made some pretty hefty commitments to Arab nations (Jordan, Turkey, Qatar, Yemen, etc.) as well to leaders of European nations (all but Germany & France <g>). In addition, the Kurds & Shiites are expecting us to back them up (after we already walked out on them after the Gulf War). I think we have to follow through with our commitments this time; if we bail on them again they won't be there when we have to go back and finish the job.
