I wish I had more faith that we're willing to do this... I'd love to see Colin Powell present a "rebuilding Iraq" plan to the U.N.. I've been in support of this war for a long time, but never liked the Bush administration's attitude of "we've got proof that Saddam is doing X, Y, and Z, but we can't show you..." and was turned off to the war effort for a few weeks at least. After Powell's wonderful (but not wonderfully effective) presentation to the U.N., I climbed right back on the war wagon.

I still remain quite unhappy over the fact that it seems that both our administration and the U.N. both seemed to have made up their minds long before the arguments were really put on the table... the U.N. because most of its members just don't really like us and the Bush Administration because of the early '90s vendetta against Hussein.
