I don't think that we should steal it, but we should make sure that we do well enough in the deal so that we both can largely recoup the costs of liberating the Iraqis and can give their new government a steady stream of income. We should also teach them how to use that income wisely. Not that we necessarily know how (see "trickle-down theory" :) )

No it wouldn't. The rest of the world has made up its mind. They hate us already. We just have to make the best of it. I'm just a big fan of transparency. That's the businessman side of me.
