>Spain and Germany have done an excellent job of capturing al Qaeda. What makes you think they are doing nada?

They're doing quite a bit. I just don't think it's necessarily fair to say that since we'd like to go after Iraq and they don't, they care more about chasing down al-Qaida than we do.

>Sorry, I am not afraid. The Taepo ding dong has hardly been tested and kim jong doesn't want to die.......and just for the record, I am in its flight path.

Right... but they've gotten pretty far... how much longer can North Korea be allowed to go on its current path until they have a sure-shot missile? They're getting there.

>How much is your push for US policing of the world motivated by concerns over Israel?

You've got it backwards... my concerns over Israel fit in neatly with my ideal of the U.S.'s role in the world. Israel is a democracy in a sea of nasty dictatorships and a fast ally with the U.S.. Remember, the Arabs allied themselves with the Nazis, and then the Soviet Union, and now many with Iraq and/or al-Qaida (though it's pretty divided). Having said that, we have to consider policing Israel as well... there's going to have to be a point where we impose our will for a final settlement on both the Israelis and the Palestinians, but whatever the final settlement is, it'll have to hold the security of Israel as most important.

Sorry, I am not afraid. The Taepo ding dong has hardly been tested

So how will you feel 5 or 10 years from now? Still so secure? I think not -- unless we are confident that Reagan's SDI is fully operational for the West Coast -- which I don't expect it will be.

and kim jong doesn't want to die.

How do you know this? By all accounts the guy is a raving lunatic. Certainly, if he feels threatened, he may just decide to cut loose with whatever he has.

If you aren't afraid to die, fine. But I wouldn't be quite so cavalier about it. Extending the range of missles may not be as complex as you think.
