I am all for removing Saddam - just don't make the cure worse than the disease.

Doctors used to do blood letting - it didn't help. That is what this sounds like to me bloodletting of the Iraqi people - to save them. I am not convinced that is a good thing.

I am sure Americans could go in with a few well placed smart bombs and some Delta boys and remove Saddam and his top people, I would support that any day and sure their would be some collateral damage - but no - Bush jr wants to level Baghdad first - then what is there to save? - just the oil.

Have you considered, Soujourner, the oil aspect may be a matter of keeping Iraq's oil off the market, instead of having it pour into the market?
