Yeah, France is an old woman with a higher percentage of her electricity provided by nuclear power than any other country, cleaner cities and less junked-up countryside than the United States, much cheaper university education than the United States, infinitely better public transport, innovative TGV trains, and the best food and wine in the world. Some Americans are just pissed at the French because they don't want to help us invade Iraq.
