) If the US wants every other country to follow international law, why shouldn't the US follow international law?

Problem is Nobody is, and the proliferation of weapons is proof of this. The United States has never surendered the right to defend its interests. The UN negotiations have been usurped by petty politics, and US Must take decicive action. The international law, and UN are very imperfect, we can not allow those imperfections to kill Millions.

2) If a country does not follow international laws would the US want that country subject to retribution? The answer is obvious here. The US would, unless by double standard the US considers it to be the only nation above International law.
The post in italics below from Tinker on the FOOL.

This is ideological nonsense. The international comunity opposed stoping Hitler too. The USA is following through on a law passed in the UN called 1441. It states clearly Iraq is in breach of its armistice. The UN body refuses to deal with that. So the US is dealing with that.

War is not just any ordinary foreign policy decision.
Under international law there is no grounds for war unless we are attacked, or the UN approves it. The US not only has not been attacked by Iraq, it is under no serious threat from Iraq either.

Iraqis before Sept 11th in the govt run press, baisicly said they suported the Taliban, and OBL. They also made references to grand future attacks of the white house, pentagon, and something else that would turn "frank sinatra on his side". The obviously knew of 9/11, in my opinion they are co-censpiritors. In my mind they are a grave threat to the lives of Millions of Americans if he develops a nuke.
