I agree with you. You go ahead and die for your principles and I will die, if need be, for mine. But the principles you would die for are not the same as mine. I would not give my life under those circumstances and I could not be a party to the loss of yours. But I respect your acting out your principles. You are, after all, a volunteer. If you want to commit suicide, to be a martyr, that's your right, IMO.

What I have trouble with is your willingness to risk the lives of those who have not volunteered for your principles. War will kill or otherwise ruin the lives of many people who haven't volunteered, possibly lots and lots of people. Their interests are as valid as yours or those of my sister.
