<I will not buy anything made in Germany, or France, or Belgium for a long, long time>

That shouldn't be too much of a sacrifice. Other than a very few luxury goods, it seems like everything I want to buy was made in N. America or E. Asia. I can't remember the last time I bought anything that had a "made in France" label on it.

As for Chirac threatening the non EU countries from the east, let us in the US offer them a free trade deal to stay out of the EU.

Perhaps it is time for the formation of the AU, American Union.

Somehow, I think the EU would end up being France and Germany and nobody else.

They could then each watch their economies die on the vine !

I will not buy anything made in Germany, or France, or Belgium for a long, long time. Those countries need to learn that they cannot act in this manner without consequences.

I wouldn't make that list too long. Remember you're a country of importers. CB already had to abandon designer water from France but found a replacement quickly. THANK GOD.
