LeP,

What a great post yours was.

Since I've been in game face mode at work for the past month, I haven't spent the same amount of time following many SI threads as I normally would. When I've lurked on a few, I've noticed a palpably heightened tension level, lots of bickering, lots of insults, all of which I can get in my job any time I'd like. <G/NG> Keeping in touch with just a few folks here has been enough to stay connected.

Your experience with your daughter represents the very best of parenting, from what I can see. No matter what happens in life, our kids sometimes just need our reassurance that all will be ok, regardless of how old they are. I still get to enjoy that experience directly every day since my girls are relatively young (oldest is pre-teen), but I've also told them both that when they're grown up and I'm downright old, I'll still love being their dad as much as anything in life. That always draws a smile.

We may not be able to change the whole world the way we'd each like, but we can definitely have a positive effect on our families. If you can't feel good about helping your daughter the way you did, what in life CAN you feel good about?

what an easy win for you then. that will be
obvious to all. it always is. piece of cake, dude. relax.

Thanks. You've just increased the pressure. <G> No such thing as a sure thing with a jury. I'm feeling pretty confident though.

truthfully cactus... i got burned out. it was too much
attention to the stress of people trying to deal with
international problems, and not enough attention to
my own realistic outreach of influence.

Exercise will do that to ya.

Word has it you got yourself an exercise bike...

It's got you all out of rhythm.

P.S. Just kidding. Keep up the good work.
How many miles per day? Or minutes per day?

Feeling good?

Hi Polv! That's Nice!

i talked to my daughter on the phone tonight. she was
really, really worried and concerned about the state of
the world... not sure what to do... not sure how to
proceed with her life... with her intentions... how
to deal with her feelings. ten minutes of reassurance
and explanation to her was worth 700 of my posts on SI...

Yea! That is what I wish. Hmmmmmmm! I wish you had been my daddy or maybe I wish my daddy had been like you....easy to talk to. Like I said Nice! She's a lucky gal.

Hope all is well.

yo friend,
dealie

Easy to say. Hard to find happening in the real world these
days IMO........ particularly if there's money involved in
any way, shape, or form.
