Here is a thought for our 'WMD are deterent's only' crowd:

Why not level the playing field and provide nukes for every country? There is good profit in it and we have way more than we need.

The anti-war crowd argues against intervention and this will make anyone think twice about crossing any border.

Peace in our time!

John

If anything I wish for, it is that I wish for this Nuclear bomb technology had never been invented. Can this wish come true? absolutely not. After all, the truth of the matter is:

-- The US remains to be the only one country on this planet who has ever used A-bomb.
-- The US is the one (with a few others) who refused to take the pledge of not to use nuclear weapons first.
-- The US is the one who now claims it reserves the right to use nuclear weapons in this anti-terrorism war (something like it).

It is only natural for those some countries, especially those 3 in "Axis of Evil", to be defensive, to try their best to acquire nuclear weapons. Does not Iran just recently declared they are going to continue their development in nuclear programs? And it is hard to say whether the US and the International community can stop them. With all the modern technologies around, IMHO, I think it is next to impossible. Who knows, maybe the only way to control the nuclear weapons is to let everyone who wants it to have it??<ng>
