If we check closely, we will find that the Real Estate lobby with all its tentacles, ie. financial institutions, has MUCH more influence on California politics. Heck, real estate has been a primary motive forever. I remember reading about Virginians fighting Loyalists because England took away the western part of Virgina territory--the Revolutionary War. As a political force, the teacher union is largely inept. Please find a better bogeyman.-g-
