Thanks for bringing us back to the theme of this thread--Real Estate. If we check closely, we will find that the Real Estate lobby with all its tentacles, ie. financial institutions, has MUCH more influence on California politics. Heck, real estate has been a primary motive forever. I remember reading about Virginians fighting Loyalists because England took away the western part of Virgina territory--the Revolutionary War.

As a political force, the teacher union is largely inept. Please find a better bogeyman.-g-
