(1) Terrorism -- will be reduced.

Absurd. There is no connection between terrorism and Iraq, so even if you vaporize Iraq from the face of this earth, it will not be a blow to terrorism.

On the other hand, terrorists will have more recruits, from among those who lose their loved ones, their homes, etc in Iraq, or just those who sympathise with the Iraqis and resent the US for its invasion of this country.

So in the end, invasion of Iraq will lead to more terrorism, not less.

(2) Resentment of America -- will diminish

Oh really? Care to explain why you think so?

Because, those of us outside the US can see clearly just how resentment of the US has increased over the past six months or so, with this warmongering, pathetic "proofs", lies, bullying, etc. And the war has not even started.

I actually worry about what the resentment in Arab countries is like, if it has reached such high levels in western Europe.

You would worry, too, if you had an idea.

(3) Arab sentiment -- will become more favorable toward the U.S. as Arab citizens come to realize that America is not the enemy many of their government media outlets have portrayed them as.

And then everyone will live happily ever after, is that it? :-)

Come on. Just how and when do you think Arab sentiment will suddenly change towards the US and its invasion of Iraq? When thousands of Iraqi civilians die? Or when US oil corporations divide up Iraq's oil fields among themselves ? :-)
