A lot of numbers to digest. I will take a look at your post again this evening. It remains to be seen how linear will the increases in bandwidth be. Your numbers show what 33% increase in bandwidth can do. 100% increase will not be 3x as much, but it could be somewhere between 2x and 3x the numbers you presented.

Huge increase in WinRar. It kind of makes sense, if my understanding of the algorithm is correct. I guess as they progress, they are looking for patterns that are already stored in the RAR file, so this "library" in the growing RAR file grows as the file size grows, way beyond 256 or 512K L2.

MP3 compression is most likely based just on a window of data that is much smaller than L2, so no performance increase, and DIVX encoding goes beyond L2, so bandwidth is a factor.
