My thought is that if, after more than two years, people still believe it, they always will, and there's no point arguing with them.

On the other hand, the fact that they still think it's relevant means that it is probably useless to argue with them about anything of substance.

JMHO.

P.S. I think the "pie" he is worried about is something like what happened in Bali. There is a forlorn hope that if only Al Qaeda's boundaries are not transgressed, there will be safety. Since the US insists on transgressing Al Qaeda's boundaries, no one who sides with the US is safe.

I agree that it's a shame that people who don't want to fight Al Qaeda get killed anyway. Too bad we can't give them all "I'm NOT with stupid" t-shirts so Al Qaeda will know who to kill.
