I want to go back to the sixties. Things were much easier then. :-)

I opposed that war. But not for the usual Jane Fonda type reasons. A blind man looking at it could see that the way it was being fought would only result in large numbers of American boys dying and an American defeat. The US had to decide either to fight that war as a war or get out. And it was obvious that none of the administrations involved would ever fight it. So after 65,000 deaths we declared victory and came home. As Senator George Aiken of Vermont suggested we do when the losses were much smaller.
