<<You can have a good time without setting off fireworks inside a building.>>

I don't disagree with you at all

<<According to news reports, this band had been doing this at its gigs for at least a month. And without telling the club management they were going to.>>

I too have heard those reports but you can't be too sure about either sides word after an event like this. Everyone is trying to cover their butts.

<<I can see why they wouldn't tell them. What manager would agree to it?>>

Well....I'm not as sure about that as you are. Neither side wants to be fingered and I suspect we'll find out that this wasn't the first show at that venue that had pyrotechnics.

All I'm saying here (without trying to blame anyone) is that its tragic and NOBODY deserved for this to happen or wanted it to happen. All too often in society a tragic accident gets compounded by the blame game. Even a simple fender bender can take on a life of its own when the blame game starts. I'm not trying to take a side as I think its probably too early to tell what was agreed to. When everyone is trying to butt cover you rarely get all the facts. Once those are known somebody is going to pay a huge price but it wont bring back the lives of lost loved ones. Sometimes an accident is just an accident even when people die. I know in my life I have been faced with situations where I could sue someone when in fact the issue at hand was an accident - ie unintentional. I can say without hesitation that what happened at that club was unintentional regardless of the final judgement
