I do think it's a pretty amazing poem for a six year old. It's less amazing if you realize that he'd just learned what a simile was and thought he was creating similies. (I'd call the individual lines parallelisms, though there is a central simile.) Also it should be mentioned that there is an explanation for the most surprising line, "Like Holmes with Watson." His Daddy had just recently read The Hound of the Baskervilles to the children.

Still, even deconstructed, it's adorable.
