Condor, Think you would have a different result if tourists identified themselves as republicans. There are so many left wing teachers travelling that many folks overseas might see them as american expatriates. I will be in Vancouver this summer with my wife who is a teacher. She will tell me to shut up alot. Euro/canadians etc. just cant see Reagan/Bush ideology as a legit alternate view of things. There is a resentment of american wealth and american power. There is a resentment of capitalism itelf and there is a tendency to blame the US for bin Laden and the Israelis for terror. When the US took the 9/11 hit, to its everlasting credit, few americans called for a return to isolationism or an abandonment of our ally, democratic israel. Bin Laden to this day must be scratching his head, ruing the day he awakened the US. Now other nations, unintentionally want to repare the damage done to him by giving us pacifism, appeasement and anti semitism as alternate policies. This worries me Condor. mike
