Hi Libby. Did you see in Saturday's paper that Hong Kong recorded its 51st month of deflation?

And, speaking of China, have you ever wondered how China gets enough water for its billions of people? I read somewhere a few years ago that Shanghai's aquifer would likely be depleted in 15-20 years. We talk about gold being a hedge, but sometimes I wonder if it won't all come down to water rights. After all, even San Antonio, Texas is in danger of depleting its aquifer(s). And I've often wondered how we'd do here in California if we got hit hard by drought. I guess that the politicians are either ignoring the possibilities, or are trying to keep such information out of our hands so that no one becomes alarmed until it's too late.
