They like simple slogans and Reagan copycat ideas

That's kind of what I meant by a clockwork administration. Each person has well known ideas and positions, in most cases many many years old ideas that have not been expressed since Reagan's day. The trouble is that there is nobody on top to synthesis a policy from these ideas. The whole of the Bush administration is not greater than the sum of the parts, it is just that, a bunch of parts working to extremes on their little specality with no overall insite or moderation or integration. It's just a lot of little initiatives getting more and more extreme since they work in isolation and a complete lack of understanding by what is supposed to be the executive.

Tick - tick - tick - the clockwork continues, and I fear what it may trigger.

How is it you are such an authority on the Bush administration, Sprite? If you know all this you must be a mole, or else it is just your prejudiced opinion.
