Re : SG Cowen's "we love Nokia" comments -- as a former employee of Cowen (back when it was still Cowen & Co.) ...

I just want to say :

Their stock "research" was useless back then (1986 -1987), too.

Jon.

Coots and thread - The procedure Pt 2.

1. Call PCS on *2. Wait time to speak to a representative - 10mins.

2. Insert our phone # into the I330.

3. Do not touch the I330 for two hours. Do not use the Thin Phone again. After two hours it is possible to use the I330 for phone service ONLY.

4. Wait twenty four hours and then Vision service can be used.

Only another 21 hours to go.

Best,

L

Coots - spent all day so far trying to get the Hot Sync to work. It just worked and now I haev a "Fatal Error" on the I330. It will not reset.

I have just heard from Vision technical. I have to take the phone back to the Sprint store.

So much for Samsung/Palm. This is a joke. I hate to have to say it but this doesn't happen with Nokia handsets.

Very upset,

L

Coots - OK I fianlly got hooked up this morning. I have tried to find a speed test that works but I tried CNET and bandwidthplace and MSN and none of them work.

I must say however that the speed from what I have seen so far is very poor. This is very dissapointing. Maybe the Handspring was faster but this I 330 doesn't give me much better than my Ericy/Casssiopeia combination using GPRS in Europe.

I hope things improve maybe its just the area but the signal is strong.

Best,

L
