I was lucky...

As a young adult, I was talked out of smoking. It took a while for me to get the message. The guy could only say a couple of words between taking a breath from his oxygen bottle.

The BIG cravings stopped in a week or two, but the little ones hung on for years. But since they were little, they were easy to defeat.

I wish you the best of success with this. It's not easy.

Yeah. I think everyone ends up wondering how they could have been so stupid. Some, though, stop before their stupidity kills them. :-)

The stuff is addicting as H***, that's why.

Remember: 5 - 10 years and it's pretty much like you never smoked in terms of health risks. Your body will repair most of the damage.
