the only reason I haven't is because I'm a coward
So what is it you're afraid of? That you'll live too healthily too long? Or the pain from your terminal cancer won't be sufficiently intense?

Afraid of of lung cancer? Don't be. It's not THE major health risk from smoking. Heart disease is. But if you think that's better because now you can look forward to a few minutes of intense pain, then death from a heart attack, don't be. It very well may not happen that way. That heart attack may not actually kill you; instead, it'll just kill a chunk of heart muscle, leaving you with heart failure. Now if you try to reach for that cigarette, the effort leaves you wheezing and breathless. A great improvement.

Oh, those sports you enjoy? Forget it. You'll be lucky to be able to walk a half block without trouble.

But those are only two possibilities. Smoking has been linked to over a hundred diseases, so you have a large choice. Or rather, a large choice has you.

Feel better now?
