If the interested parties had the ear of a controlling legal authority, does it require more than an account? If the bully has the authorities convinced that his behavior is justifiable, does that change things? If the bully is in the process of filing a grievance against you, do you still whup him?

So if your neighbors predicted some adverse result and urgently pressed you not to proceed, you would not consider that transaction sufficiently compelling evidence that you should have foreseen that result? Oh, my!
