re QCOM and GSM

Qualcomm has entered the GSM/GPRS market and thus it’s market has just expanded from the “niche” CDMA space to virtually the total world of mobile wireless (GSM/GPRS- CDMA). Mr. Keitel (CFO) stated yesterday Qualcomm is now going after the remaining 87%.

I guess that GSM/GPRS isn't toast after all?
Will QCOM be able to run with a pack dominated by TXN?
Perhaps we will see an end to the (always ridiculous) harangueing of Nokia and all things European and open up the discussion regarding the real competition, lurking in Dallas?
