The way "the UN and process" have solved the problem for the last 12 years?

That's not interest in a solution - it's interest in a temporary peace at any cost.


There's along discussion and a short one that serves as an answer. The short one is that the world needs, perhaps as never before, institutions larger than national ones to mediate conflicts, to engage more seriously than yet done in the issues of the proliferation of nuclear weapons, and to work toward mutually reinforcing cooperative arrangements for addressing global terrorists (note the emphasis on global) such as Al Q.
