there are degrees of "anti-war" Some people believe it's important to follow a UN process...because, we currently have Saddam pretty contained, with inspectors on the ground. And - why should the US shoulder all of the work - and pay for all of it? If he becomes a bigger problem, maybe other nations will be willing to join us - and not just the ones we bribe with money to agree to let us go in.

I appreciate that you think I have all the answers- that's very kind of you. I can't say I feel that myself, but your compliment is accepted with all the sincerity of your offer of it. Since you think I have all the answers let me tell you most sincerely (and certainly) that just because people don't think there is a good reason to attack Iraq at this juncture (WMD's or no WMD's), that does not make them anti-American. I doubt there are many people here who are truly anti-American. There are a few non-Americans who might be a bit anti-American- and if there's a Frenchperson out there who is a little pissed off at the US, I cannot say I blame them, what with the anti-France rhetoric out there. The antiwar movement is not monolithic. It encompasses people from the far left, a great many people from the middle, and even people from the far right. Most of those people are all loyal Americans. I strongly disagree with you, but I think it is silly to impugn your loyalty just because I do not agree with you. Even if you were about to injure this country, I would suspect you were doing it from good motives. That makes you only misguided, not a traitor. It is foolish not to recognize the difference I think. Obviously both sides will think the other misguided (such is the nature of taking "sides"), and a "danger" to America- but we need not think each other traitors. imo
