Here's how the CIA has added up Saddam's military actions over the past few years.

panix.com

I'll simply conclude by pointing out your war option will kill a lot of innocent people, more innocent people than who were killed in 9/11, and the whole purpose for this war is speculation at best from a president who has a motive to cover up a horrible economy and a failure to capture OBL.

Ironically, Bush suffers from the same ego complex as Saddam himself: Where Saddam wants to be a New Age Saladin of the Middle East; Bush wants to be known as the one who actually made the New World Order.
Worse, Bush's war is scripted from those advising him who also have motivations of power, wealth and influence.

Agustus, as much as your war is fervently supported by the hawks on this thread, it is supported even more fervently by OBL who wants Bush to pull the trigger. This war will be a grave mistake upon humanity and will only increase terrorism in the aftermath, not decrease it.

I hope you reconsider your position. Please do give it some long and hard thinking. I invite you to visit the Don't Start the War thread and read some of the referenced material in the thread's header--there's a lot of information from news sources from all over the world, it's not just an American media spin on the subject.

In closing, I appreciate your viewpoint but respectfully must disagree.
